EziTracker

EziTracker is a call-in system for remote workers to sign in and out of appointments using a phone line or mobile phone. It can be integrated into the Support Worker Module.

Please see Ezitracker.com for more information about Ezitracker.

Postcode Anywhere

Postcode Anywhere is an add-on, third party system which can enable a postcode lookup facility for your Charitylog system. To see the settings for your Postcode Anywhere account as they relate to Charitylog, click on Administration > Security > Integrated Add-on Software > Postcode Anywhere Settings.

You will see a screen where you can enter a Postcode Anywhere account code and licence key. If you do not have a Postcode Anywhere account, you can sign up for a trial membership using the circled link.

Although we provide the link between you and Postcode Anywhere, we cannot be responsible for supporting the Postcode Anywhere service itself. Please refer all questions directly to Postcode Anywhere (apart from issues around how it works in Charitylog - in which case we will of course help in any way we can).

Text Anywhere

Text Anywhere is a third party text messaging system that integrates with Charitylog. This provides you with a text messaging option within the Charitylog system itself.

Some messages may allow answers to be sent back and then received into Charitylog, and then read and (possibly) actioned, depending on the content of the message. This increases efficiency and ensures that people can be notified of changed times and dates easily. It can also be used as a reminder that work is due, even if the user is away from the office and unable to check Charitylog at that moment in time.

Other options are to send a joint message to a group of people selected in a report, or another group such as the people who are expected to attend a session of some sort. This is the text equivalent of a mail merge extract. There are currently four main areas where text messaging can be used;

  1. From within the client, staff, volunteer etc. records, where you can opt to send a text message, fill in the message and then send it.
  2. From the Record a Contact screen. The person nominated to carry out an outstanding action can be sent a text message.
  3. From the Mail Merge option, where a Standard Letter can be merged into a text message and sent.
  4. From the Clubs and Clinics module, where you can send out notifications to members of groups to remind them when the meeting is taking place.

If the text is answered, it will be received into a holding area in Charitylog, so that it can be read and actioned where appropriate.

When a client has an extra phone number and has not been excluded from receiving text messages, a small phone icon will appear in the relevant places. You can also use one of the Client Contact Rules to indicate that the client does not want to receive texts under various circumstances.

Signing up to Text Anywhere

In order to start texting, you need to sign up to Text Anywhere. No initial payment is needed - you can get 20 free text messages to try it out. Assuming that you want to continue, you will need to decide on how you want to pay for messages. This can be done by buying pre-paid batches of messages or by payment on account.

You can sign up to Text Anywhere from within Charitylog. In Administration > Security, there is a submenu item for "Integrated Add-On Software", and one of these is Text Anywhere Settings.

Click this menu item, and you will be taken to a screen which shows your settings. If you have not set up Text Anywhere before, you will probably see a message stating this, as shown in the screenshot. You can now set up a new account from within Charitylog by clicking the link.

Enter the required information and you will be returned to the Text Anywhere Settings screen, with your details shown. You will need to change "Use TextAnywhere Service In Charitylog" to "Yes", and you may also like to set your reply method at this point.

You will now be able to start texting!

Pricing

To use the Text Anywhere service, there are no sign-up, software, consultancy, implementation or maintenance fees - no hidden costs. All you pay for are the messages that you send. You don't even need to buy your messages in advance.

When you sign up to Text Anywhere, just state how you'd like to settle your monthly invoice or, if you prefer, that you would rather purchase message credits in advance.

If you are a registered charity or Housing Association, there is a further 15% off our standard message pricing below. Prices shown are correct as of 6th November 2012.

Other information

Credit accounts paid by direct debit attract a further discount. All credit account messages are charged at the rate applicable to the total monthly message volume. So, for example if you were to send 1,250 messages in one month, all messages would be charged at 7.5p plus VAT.

All message pricing, both on account and pre-paid, includes the Interconnect Fee (approximately 3.0p) payable to the receiving network operator for delivering your message. This is now applicable for all UK operators and many other European operators too. This fee ensures that our messages are treated as First Class messages and are delivered as swiftly as they possibly can be.
